Learning of MF DOOM’s passing on New Year’s Eve was an unexpected gut punch to an already terrible year. The rap world lost a true icon, a maverick who crafted some of the zaniest universes for us to escape to. The vacuum of his absence will be felt for years to come.

Touching upon every region, BlerdUp’s Brendon Spencer and Jon Carlos-Evans of Black Nerd Problems have teamed up to present what they feel are the twenty most impactful blerd rap albums of all time. This is not to be confused with favorites because that would be slightly different (Sorry, The Cold Vein!).
Without further ado, let’s get started!
