Listen up, sneakerheads! It is speculated that the highly anticipated Air Jordan 1 High Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse will be released today, May 2, 2023, at 2:00 pm EST, exclusively via the SNKRS app.

This exclusive shoe is a sequel to 2018’s wildly successful Jordan 1 Retro High Spider-Man Origin Story. I was lucky enough to cop the Origin Stories for my personal collection and will be looking to pick these up also. Miles Morales being one of the most favored Marvel characters by blerds, this is a must-pick-up. The shoe comes in black, red, and blue and has spider-web decorations on the tongue and heel. It also has a Spiderman emblem on the translucent outsole.

The sneaker community has been buzzing about the possibility of a surprise price drop for this highly awaited sneaker. If the reports are true, this drop will supposedly take place without any advance warning, giving those who are continuously refreshing the SNKRS app the best opportunity of snagging a pair.

The animated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters in 2022, and the Air Jordan 1 High Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse will be inspired by the film. Fans of the Spider-Man films and sneaker collectors alike will appreciate this shoe’s fitting homage to the heroic hero.

The shoe’s black leather upper and contrasting blue and red embellishments are clearly influenced by Spiderman’s web-slinging style. Extra superhero flair comes from the Spiderman logo on the tongue and the spider webs on the heel.

The Spider-Man emblem pops out of the icy blue translucent outsole, making these shoes stand out even more. This provides greater depth and visual appeal to the overall composition.

Nike has been playing games with us with these shock drops lately. The Lost and Found shock drop was highly anticipated by sneakerheads last week. While frustrating, I do find the shock drops to be a bit fun. It makes getting your hands on a pair of these highly sought-after sneakers feel more like a prize because of the element of surprise.
