Black Sands Entertainment Lands Shark Tank Deal With Kevin Hart & Mark Cuban

Black Sands Entertainment landed a 500k investment deal with Kevin Hart & Mark Cuban in the latest episode of Shark Tank. Black indie comics publisher Black Sands Entertainment is one of the largest players in the space with over 60,000 books sold. The company was founded by husband and wife duo Manuel Godoy and Geiszel Godoy in 2017. The Black Sands content features Black characters created primarily by Black artists and writers.

Black Sands Entertainment also has a very clean iOS app that allows readers to download digital copies of their titles. There is also a gamified experience that allows users to get collectables and login bonuses. Black Sands has an application for Black and Brown creators to publish on their app as well which already features some popular indie titles you may be familiar with.
