Secret Invasion Trailer Reaction

With its incredible cinematic universe that spans over 20 films and several television series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been taking the world by storm for more than a decade now, and it has caused a lot of excitement around the globe. Fans are going into a frenzy over the newly released trailer for the series Secret Invasion, which is one of the upcoming projects from Marvel Studios that is one of the most highly anticipated overall projects.

On the most recent episode of The Then & Now Podcast, the guys discuss their thoughts and predictions for the series Secret Invasion, as well as give their reactions to the trailer for the show.

The hosts CDeisel, King of the Comics, and Lelouche Vi continue to share their very different perspectives on the upcoming series as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole.

For those who aren’t familiar, the Secret Invasion storyline is one that can be found in Marvel Comics. In this storyline, a group of shapeshifting aliens known as Skrulls infiltrate Earth by taking the form of a variety of superheroes and high-ranking officials. The events that take place in the comic book will be adapted into a television series that will star Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Emilia Clarke, amongst other well-known actors.

Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, and Talos, played by Ben Mendelsohn, a Skrull played by Ben Mendelsohn, are seen at the beginning of the trailer investigating a series of events that have led them to believe that there are Skrulls on Earth pretending to be humans. The promotional video contains a number of brief clips of a variety of characters, some of whom might or might not be Skrulls.

The hosts of the podcast immediately voice their excitement for the series or their lack thereof, with one of them exclaiming, “This is what we’ve been waiting for!” They discuss how the Skrulls have already been introduced in previous Marvel films, such as Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and how Secret Invasion will expand upon the storyline that they have established in those films.

In addition to this, they comment on the series’ impressive cast list, pointing out that the participation of Emilia Clarke is a particular highlight. The hosts speculate on who each actor might be playing and discuss the possibility that other Marvel characters will make unexpected appearances.

The fact that Secret Invasion is a comic book storyline that has significant repercussions for the entirety of the Marvel Universe is brought up by one of the hosts.
