Naomi From DC Comics

Today’s video is about DC Comics Naomi! This character hasn’t been around for long, but we are going to get you up to speed in this video. Naomi made her first appearance in Naomi #1 in 2019. Naomi was created by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell.

Naomi is from an alternate version of Earth that was ravaged by radiation because the ozone layer was destroyed by excessive pollution and environmental abuse. This radiation caused 29 individuals throughout the world to develop superpowers, which in turn caused a superhuman civil war to breakout. Only 8 superhumans remained before a truce was called. One of the superhumans became pregnant (which wasn’t thought possible) and Naomi was born. When she hit 17, she learned of her superpowers.
