Proper Gnar X Black Girls Anime X Jazmin Anita Collab
Proper Gnar, the first-ever Black woman-owned skateboard company, just released a collaboration with Black Girls Anime and artist Jazmin Anita yesterday. The collaboration features two different skateboard decks with BGA branding and beautiful artwork by Jazmin Anita on the front.
In a male dominated sport where only about 20% of all skaters are women, there are even fewer Black women in the industry. To add another spectacular layer to this awesome collab, the Baddies at Black Girls Anime have been putting on for all of the Black women that get grossly underrepresented and are subject to tremendous gatekeeping.
This collab offers a fresh new look with quality artwork and representation that has largely never been seen.
My daughter loves to skateboard and this will definitely resonate with her. I am excited to support this project and look forward to more.
