TMNT Last Ronin Game Update and MCU VFX Boss Fired – The Blerd Cave #198 Recap
We’re glad to have you back at The Blerd Cave, where we talk about anything nerdy. An exciting update on the impending The Last Ronin video game based on the popular comic book series is included in this episode, as is the dismissal of the head of visual effects for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
First, we’ll talk about what’s new in the The Last Ronin video game. The Last Ronin is being adapted into a video game, which is great news for fans of the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. Fans of the comic book series—which takes place in a dystopian future in which only one of the four turtles survives—have long hoped for a video game version. A mysterious firm is presently working on the game.
Our next topic is the shocking dismissal of a top visual effects supervisor at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. James E. Price was recently let go from his role as visual effects supervisor at Digital Domain. He worked on multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. There has been speculation that he was fired because of an argument with a coworker, although this has not been proven. It’s unfortunate to see such a gifted creative leave the MCU crew for any reason.
Our trademark feature, “What We’re Into,” is a staple of every episode of The Blerd Cave. In this part, we talk about the media we’ve been enjoying as of late.
All in all, this week’s edition of The Blerd Cave is chock full of great information and suggestions for our fellow geeks. So unwind and take in the show!
