Who’s The Master By DJ Awesomus Prime EP Release
Awesomus Prime’s debut EP “Who’s The Master” is a 6 track album and the first release from Kawaii Kunai Music. The album brings riddim dubstep inspired by Anime, video games, and the 1985 cult film “The Last Dragon” to the dance floors of the world. Awesome Prime’s energy was poured into this project and it shows, gaining over one thousand streams in under two days on Spotify alone.
Awesomus Prime is best known as the convention DJ performing at various conventions and after parties along the east coast and has built a very positive reputation for himself. He is heavily influenced by nerd and pop culture which lend to the themes of his debut EP. Channeling his favorite artist, Hi I’m Ghost, Zomboy and Virtual Riot, Awesomus felt his debut had to be the same great bass heavy dubstep he DJ’s.
“Who’s The Master” brings you a bass heavy riddim EP with a melodic Sailor Moon track called “Defend The Moon”, a very energetic track “Jehuty:Stand and Fight” which is born from the mecha game Zone of The Enders: 2nd Runner. The 8Bit infused “Final Boss 2.0” captures the feeling of your favorite (or least favorite) boss fights; the album also has a Final Boss remix made by Sh1n of Sake Bomb Party. The title track “Who’s The Master” includes elements from the movie and brings to mind amazing fight scenes and “Drop’em” is a playful song that is sure to bring a smile to your face.
Awesomus Prime’s EP is the first official release for Kawaii Kunai Music, the independent record label owned and operated also by the Mech Warrior DJ himself. Kawaii Kunai aims to deliver original music inspired by anime, Japanese themes and video games from various otaku and gamer music producers.
